Iceland has been the leader in the gender index equality ranking for years and scores 90%. Half of its Members of Parliament are women, unequal pay is forbidden by law. It is home to the first elected Female Head of State in the world, the first openly gay Female Prime Minister and presently the 2nd Female Prime Minister.
