MyEO Women: Seoul
Post-Trip Schedule

Grow From Within

Seoul, a metropolis boasting nearly 10 million residents, surpasses even New York in size. Yet amidst the hustle and bustle, Seoul harbors hidden gems, places that whisper of bygone eras, offering moments of quiet contemplation. These are the sanctuaries where time fades into the background, allowing for deep introspection and personal growth.

We invite you to step away from the city's fervor and into the serene embrace of the neighboring forest of Wakerhill. Once a sanctuary for American generals and their families, this tranquil retreat, named after General Douglas MacArthur, offers a unique escape from the demands of daily life. Like a "bhikkhuni" – a female Buddhist nun – you'll have the opportunity to center yourself, nurture your aspirations, and cultivate patience on your journey towards fulfillment.

Welcome to your post-trip retreat, where you'll find the space to refocus, grow, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.

Day 1
Thursday, June 13

Your Temple

Evening Attire: Smart Casual / Modest

08.45 AM - Temple Day @ Hwagyesa Temple

In the morning, we check-out from the Conrad (luggage transferred separately to Douglas House) and leave the bustling city behind us as we take you to the foothill of the Samgak mountains. The temple that you will call your home for a day has been in existence for more than 500 years and is known as the “Palace Temple”.

Dive into the spiritual world of Korea as you learn from your teachers - two bhikkhuni, Diane Kim and Cheongsim Sunim - who have been specially arranged for MyEO Women.

Learn about the lifestyle and traditions of the temple, defined by contemplation and meditation, in an intimate environment for you to refocus and grow.

03.15 PM - Hotel Check-in @ Douglas House

06.45 PM - Korea House

Get ready for a culinary adventure, featuring a sumptuous array of traditional Korean delicacies, all inspired by the exquisite Royal Court Cuisine of the Joseon Dynasty (14th – 20th century). Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and immerse yourself in centuries-old flavors and culinary traditions!
