K-Culture: Through Her Eyes

SIGNUPS BEGIN MAY 13
(Limited availability: first come / first serve)

Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Korean culture, viewed through the lens of its influential women. Traverse a city that pulses with over 10 million souls, where futuristic skyscrapers and cutting-edge subways coexist with ancient Buddhist temples, regal palaces, and bustling street markets.

As you wander through the city, you’ll encounter landmarks steeped in history like the majestic Gyeongbokgung Palace and the King Sejong monument, the visionary who gifted Korea its unique alphabet. But beyond these grand edifices, we’ll uncover the lesser-known narratives of women who shaped Korea’s destiny…

Explore the visionary leadership of Queen Seondeok, the pioneering monarch of Silla, whose reign set the stage for a united Korean peninsula.

Discover the legacy of Shin Saimdang at Deoksugung Palace, a renaissance woman whose face adorns the 50,000 won note and whose life celebrates the quintessence of Korean femininity through her poetry, calligraphy, and art.

Honor the memory of Yu Gwansun, a symbol of resistance and bravery, as we trace her footsteps through the city. Her youthful defiance and ultimate sacrifice during the Japanese occupation remain a beacon of Korea’s indomitable spirit.
