King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table: Ireland
Internationally Awarded
CHALLENGE:
Create a meeting concept to facilitate a multicultural collaboration of 100 middle managers from 15 countries following an international merger. The meeting must showcase the values of the company and how to implement these values in a multicultural environment, in order to reduce friction and improve performance.
OUR EVENT-SOLUTION:
Finding contemporary leadership and management lessons from medieval chivalry. King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table proved to be a rich source of inspiration.
Such courtly values as respect, loyalty, honor, bravery and strength were extolled, and connected with success in both medieval and modern contexts. The meeting got underway at the historic Jameson Distillery in Dublin before traveling by private train to a rented castle in rural Ireland. The participants undertook four days of team-building and skill-development programs that incorporated the values of the company.
The managers returned to their home countries embracing the culture and common values of the company, with a sense of how to implement these values across the organization.
